The Juliana Theory to Release New CD October 22

Band Continues Its Summer Tour

July 18, 2002 — The Juliana Theory are set to release their Epic Records debut, Love, a fourteen track recording produced by former Talking Head Jerry Harrison (Live, No Doubt) and co-produced by Juliana Lead Vocalist Brett Detar with engineer Dave Schiffman (System of a Down, Rage Against the Machine) behind the knobs. Love marks the Pennsylvania rockers major label debut. The band's first single "Do you Believe Me?," hits the air waves September 10 and will have a video to match.

Recorded in the spring of 2002 in Northern California, Love marks a change in musical direction for the Juliana Theory. Brett Detar sees the record as being a culmination of four years of hard work as a band and the development of the true definition of their sound. Bassist Chad Alan adds this record is the first time we've captured the energy of our live show on an entire album. The music is much harder, the vocals tighter, and the whole vibe is more rock and roll than before.

The Juliana Theory's independent releases have scanned over 130,000 copies. The band has shared the stage with At the Drive In, New Found Glory, Saves the Day, to name a few, and have been selling out small clubs throughout the country.

The Juliana Theory are Brett Detar (lead vocals, guitar), Chad Alan (bass), Josh Fiedler (guitar), Josh Kosker (guitar), and Josh Walters (drums).
